Daddy don't give up

This one's by Young Lady for dad, as he fights the battle.
Brought tears to my eyes.

Daddy don’t give up
You are strong, my hero
Fight it and emerge stronger than before
Cmon now, let it go.
You’ve been happy, stressed offtimes too
But the way you smiled despite everything
Dispelled always the blue.
Look at you now, shrunk and old
Why did you let this happen?
To yourself a fine man, as precious as gold.
Daddy, I can’t see you this way
Stooped, helpless and weak
You can’t give up the fight
You need to be strong, like I know you are
To stand tall hale and hearty, up alright.
I miss your strength, your incredible power
You lifted, twisted, bent and broke
Anything I asked you to do
You did it finely, in a single stroke.
But now you can’t even lift a pen
Trembling hands and shivering legs
Pained I am to see you such
Cowed down an illness struck.
Don’t you see it?
This sickness is evil blew
Draining your energy and spirit too
Its trying hard to defeat you.
Daddy don’t give up
You are strong, my hero
Fight it and emerge stronger than before.
Cmon now, let it go.
